Having grown up in Lansing, MI which is known for the automotive industry, thanks to Ransom E. Olds and the Oldsmobile, and only an hour drive to Detroit, Henry Ford's home, my interest in design began with cars. New cars, old cars, and customized vehicles.

Then, my interest in sports added a new dimension. Michigan has four major professional sport franchises, (Lions, Tigers, Pistons and Red Wings). I also took note of every slight emblem change or new logo of these teams. Lastly, music. Motown is Detroit and Detroit is music. As a teen moving into adulthood, the music I gravitated to is Metallica and 70's & 80's hard rock. But the combination of looking at cars, listening to music and attending sporting events all helped me develop a keen sense for attention to detail when it comes to logos and design. I enjoy creating bold, stand out, yet somewhat simple concepts. My aspiration as a Graphic Designer would be to see a complete stranger wearing my design, either on clothing or displaying my work on a sticker on their laptop or car bumper.
